NOAA State of the Arctic Report

Andrey Proshutinsky, Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution

The proposed “NOAA State of the Arctic report” will provide and effectively document current
and unbiased observations in 2011 on the state of the physical oceanic components within the
Arctic region in a way that are accessible to a wide audience. The Arctic state project was
initiated in 2006 and directly supports NOAA’s Program Plan for Building a Sustained Ocean
Observing System for Climate.
