This project comprises three tasks in this three year project. To be funded for the first year with years 2 and 3 as options: 1. Dr. Michael Moore to undertake a review of large whale euthanasia and prepare a working paper for an International Whaling Commission workshop in Maui, Hawaii April 12-16, and to attend that workshop in year one. Additional consulting to Dr. Rowles will be provided to Dr Rowles in years 2 and 3 on matters to be determined by Dr. Rowles if the option is taken. 2. A subaward to Dr. Sophie Dennison to provide radiology consultancy to the Marine Mammal Health and Stranding Response Program for 50 days in year 1 and subsequently if the option is taken and to attend the National Stranding Conference in Shepherdstown, WV April 5 to 9 in year 1. 3. A subaward to Dr. Jooke Robbins to undertake a review of large whale entanglement and prepare a working paper for an International Whaling Commission workshop in Maui, Hawaii April 12-16, and to attend that workshop. In year 1 only.
