Hydrographic Support for a R/V Thomas Jefferson Cruise to the Gulf of Mexico as part of the Unified Command Response to the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill
The Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) proposes to provide hydrographic services to augment the resources and capabilities available aboard the Thomas Jefferson. To that end, the scope of WHOI services shall include:
• Assemble and mobilize hydrographic equipment (rosette, niskin bottles and CTD)
• Assist in developing the mission plan in conjunction with NOAA
• Manage and conduct hydrographic operations.
• Turnover samples and raw CTD data to NOAA for handling in accordance with agreed protocols.
